What is group therapy?

Group therapy is a community-based therapeutic process in which an open dialogue directly addresses personal issues. This programme combines psycho-educational, psychotherapeutic and experiential principles that will provide the basis for a lifetime of comfortable communication. Your relationships with the other members will be significant as you listen and react to, discuss with and observe the group. You learn through experience and by relating to other men in decidedly intimate manner. Above all else, the group dynamic is meant to be a safe place in which you can experiment with new behaviours and new attitudes. There is no judgement, only support and your friends will help prop you up.

How does group therapy work?

What are some of the things I can hope to get out of the group?

Group therapy is an effective and cost-effective way to work on your relationship issues and intimacy with other gay men. Each group therapy session is significantly cheaper than an individual therapy session. Group therapy is congruent with individual therapy. Fees available on enquiry.
