Why do people seek counselling & psychotherapy?
How do I know when to seek help? Sometimes you may feel unable to cope, depressed, anxious, feels alone or challenged by life. Memories about the past, painful, traumatic events in the present or worries about the future may inhibit enjoyment of life or your ability to achieve your full potential.
Some signs when assistance should be considered:
- Sexual problems or concerns
- Problems or concerns about your relationship at home or at work
- Emotional problems / panic attacks / feelings of being out of control
- Feelings of depression, anxiety or confusion
- Confidence and self esteem issues
- Physical problems with no clear physical cause
- Addiction problems – sex, alcohol, drugs, work, love etc.
